After kick starting our Access2Europe Discovery Tour Barcelona on Wednesday, September 5th, we continued our three-day program with a visit at Barcelona Activa, which was founded by the Barcelona City Council in order to support entrepreneurial projects. Following the tour through coworking spaces, we visited Social Point, which is one of the success cases at Barcelona Activa.
Afterwards, the startups had an intense workshop with Angel Garrorena from Lean Sales about how to manage B2B Sales within the Spanish Market. Angel accentuated cultural aspects and specialties of doing business Spanish.
To also learn about the perspectives of investors in the Barcelona ecosystem, we invited Vanessa Palmer from Caixabank. She works at DayOne, which is an entity of Caixabank specialized in working with startups and helping them with their challenges. After Vanesa introduced DayOne, we went together with her and Angel to lunch. Also for this lunch, we invited special guests like Oriol Pascual from IQS TechFactory, Fernando Rayón and Catalina Balseiro from Agbar or Pere Condom from Catalunya Emprén Program of Generalitat de Catalunya.
Learnings were intensified by another workshop with Angel in the afternoon. Our startups engaged, as usual, in lively discussions and productive exchanges.
At a private event in the evening at Casa Gracia, our startups networked and discussed possible collaborations with our guests. We want to thank our special guests from lunch and Salvador Silvestre and Javier Lopez from SEAT, Roberto Camarero from Zobele, Xavier Ruiz from Smartmonkey, Jordi Griful from Quantion, Sergio Balcells, and Miquel Lozano from Hospital Clinic.
